engaged!

Wonderful news - Patrick and I are engaged!

Saturday April 5th, we were just hanging around the apartment shortly after he came home from work. I was doing misc. things including straightening my hair to eventually go out for dinner. Patrick was standing in the doorway and started talking about how beautiful I was, how much he loved me... and then he brought out this big bouquet of flowers. And as I was reacting to that, he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. I think my initial reaction was, "What are you doing?! Are you doing this now?!" But of course I said 'yes' a dozen times!

Afterwards we went out to a lovely dinner at Rue Franklin, which is our favorite place, and everyone in the restaurant was congratulating us. We got a suite at the Hampton Inn and went out all night downtown. It was incredible and a couple days later I got to tell everyone about it!

I'm so thrilled! No, we're so thrilled like you couldn't imagine!
